Editorial policy

How we source, verify, and correct.

Research-based guides

Every guide on Lawn & Loam is a research-based decision framework, not a product review. Key facts are checked against public, verifiable sources: product labels, manufacturer specifications, EPA guidance, USDA materials, and state Cooperative Extension resources. Each guide records its sources.

What we do not publish

We do not publish invented field tests, fabricated reviews, unverifiable claims, or content written to rank for keywords without supporting evidence. Chemical product guidance follows label and regulatory frameworks rather than brand endorsements.

Corrections

If a source changes, a label is updated, or we find an error, we update the affected guide and note the change date. For corrections, use the contact page and include the page address and the source to check.

Advertising independence

Advertising is separated from editorial content and does not influence what we publish. If we ever add affiliate links, they will be disclosed clearly on the affected pages.
