How to use it

Load an image

The current pixel dimensions fill the width and height fields after the browser decodes the file.

Change one dimension with the ratio lock on, or turn it off only when stretching is intentional. Upscaling is blocked unless you allow it.

The resizer draws a new raster image and can encode JPEG, WebP, or PNG. JPEG replaces transparent areas with the background color you choose.

Questions

Does resizing make a small image sharper?

No. Upscaling creates more pixels by interpolation, but it does not recover detail that was not in the source.

What are the dimensions measured in?

The fields use pixels. They do not set print dimensions or a physical size on every screen.
